The Renault Captur 

The new Renault Captur was launched in India today i.e. on 6th October 2017. The India-spec Captur is based on the same M0 platform that underpins the Duster and is available in 3 Variants & 2 Engine Options.

The car measures 4329 mm in Length, 1813 mm in Width & 1619 mm in Height. It has a wheelbase of 2673 mm & bears a Ground Clearance of 210 mm. The Captur has a boot space of 392 L, which could be expanded to 1352 L. It's Fuel Tank could hold 50 L of fuel.

Features like projector headlights with LED DRLs and safety equipment like Dual Airbags, ABS with EBD & Brake assist as well as ISOFIX are standard across all variants. Automatic Climate Control with rear AC Vents, integrated audio system with USB, Aux-in & Bluetooth, Remote central locking with Engine START/STOP button are also part of standard offering from the base model.

Renault is offering the Captur with a choice of Petrol & Diesel Engines. The Diesel unit is a 1461cc, 4-cylinder unit that churns out 108BHP@3850 RPM & 240 Nm of torque @1750 RPM whereas the 1498cc Petrol motor churns out about 104BHP@5600 RPM & 142 Nm of torque @4000 RPM. The Diesel motor is offered with a 6-Speed Manual Transmission & The Petrol is offered with a 5-Speed Manual Transmission.

The 1.5L Diesel Motor

Sadly there is no information about the Automatic Gearbox which is a loose end as The Duster is already offered in CVT as well as AMT and The Captur is a premium offering from Renault.
